Adopting out my fanlistings. ALL my fanlistings.
As you may have noticed, my life's been thrown into an unexpected amount of turmoil the past few months. Once this stuff resolves, I'll been getting some of my own health issues fixed, trying to find work again, and getting grad school apps out, and... it's just too much. So, I've decided (at length, and with much trepidation) to adopt out all of my fanlistings. I'm going to be making posts at TFL and TAFL and e-mailing previous owners within the next few days or so. For now, I thought I'd open it up to people on my friends list and let you guys have first swing. Now open to everyone! If you see something you'd like to adopt, please e-mail me at rinoaheartilly[at]gmail[dot]com with your name, e-mail address, sample URL (a FL, your collective, whatever), the subject you'd like to adopt, and your reasons why you'd like it. Please do not hold back! These will all be getting closed if they're not adopted, and that would just break my heart. Ideally, I'd love for them all to find new homes. So please, apply apply apply!

For the curious: the TFL post and the TAFL post. Did I forget anything?

All are listed at TFL or TAFL except the namelistings (which are listed at http://www.thenamelistings.org), the Squall physical fanlisting (which is listed at http://www.physicalfanlistings.net), and the Squall/Rinoa romantic fanlisting (which used to be listed at The Taboolistings, but as that seems to be dead, I guess it's listed nowhere now).

Updated on 2/28. I am SO SORRY I'm so slow. Decisions will come for those that have apps sometime soon, I swear it. I'm now shifting this to rolling applications. I'll adopt things out as I get applications for them, so please e-mail if you see anything you'd like. Fanlistings with no applications yet are marked with an asterisk. I'm so sorry to hear that things have gotten terribly busy, Alex. Have you considered cutting back a few and keeping the ones you really love? I also hope everything is working out regarding your health :( *hugs*

I'll definitely be sending along an application for Mia Fey. I absolutely love that girl <3 Good luck with all the adoptions!

Thanks. *hugs* I've considered it, but the real problem isn't so much the amount of work as it is the commitment. I'm not going to close down my main site or my fansites; in fact, I'm probably going to put more work into them than I was before, using some of the time I'd previously devoted to my FLs. The thing is that I can't guarantee I'll be able to keep any sort of reasonable update schedule, and that's just not fair to the staffers, the prospective affiliates, or the people joining. Plus, I tend to obsess over things that are required of me, so any little responsibility I can lessen is a good thing. I may hang on to the Squall/Rinoa one, since it's not listed anywhere and so I don't have any pressure to update, but overall, I think this is the right decision.

Glad to hear it! I'm really really hoping they can all find loving new homes. :)

agix - i know you are busy and life is crazy - but for your mom
keep squall and rinoa's. you know how long a history you have and what they really mean to you please, please don't give those up I know you will regret it down the line.

Y'know, I mentioned to Jaime earlier that I might keep that one. It's not listed anywhere, so I wouldn't be required to update on any set schedule, plus it'd fit real nice into the fansite... I'm a bit worried about the security of the script I'm using, but I think I can manage to switch over just one or get Jaime to whip up a little script for it. Yeah, I'll keep them. Do love those two. <3

So many shiny lovely fanlistings. As everyone else I'm also sad that you decided to leave the fanlisting world - but!! maybe you'll be back one day =) (thats what happened with me - can you say addiction? lolz). I applied for cuddling <3. I wanted to apply for Bright Eyes as well but I decided to behave and I know someone else who's a bigger fan applied so yeah. Oooh random babbling ;). I hope you'll find homes for all your lovely fanlistings :).

Wow, I am going to send you an application for Bright Eyes. I am almost scared to apply for it (and not get it) because of what I went through losing it the first time (that situation was out of my control, totally unfair, and I really flipped out on TFL because it was one of my most beloved fanlistings ever). I opened up an entire domain for it that is still up: poetic-retelling.org. Before I lost it, I was going to add a bunch of extra stuff to it, which is why I bought a separate domain for it. ANYWAY... sorry to ramble, I just wanted to let you know to expect an app from me tomorrow regarding this. I'd love to "reopen" that domain again and have my baby back again. :P
